The android error you are seeing is most likely caused by sustained low internet speeds or outages.
Restore internet by restarting your router or using a ethernet cable proceeded by power cycling the device (unplug the power cable and plug it back in)
if possible choose the 'perform factory data reset' displayed on the left hand side of the screen.
If the remote isn't allowing you to go up or down, follow the instructions below to attempt to repair the remote with the device:
If unable to select the perform factory data reset option and restarting the device multiple times, a replacement is required.
